Maybe it’s just me, but couldn’t the explanation just have identified him as “Orlando Cabrera”? What team he’s on (or was on when the photo was taken) isn’t really relevant to the LOL.
Maybe I’m too picky, and assume people are smart enough to figure it out.
You wouldn’t believe the way people bitch around here. Sometimes, when it just says the name of the person, people go mad in the comments. When it identifies the previous team, they get cranky. It’s only when all is spelled out that people are happy. I figure that’s why they do it.
Once, some team was misidentified and people went nuclear!
Personally, I like it. Since I’m not super familiar with Baseball, this helps me learn something new.
