Hard to say who they are, but this is a fairly old picture, as the Washington Capitals have worn red for a few years now. And the gentleman in question is pummeling a player of the Boston Bruins.
true dat
One problem…. Mouthguards are not required in the NHL.
btw mouth guards are not really required. Not all players wear them.
requierd???
I am constantly shocked by the inability of people to spell correctly when they have the whole internet infront of them.
It scares me that bad spelling, such as this, is considered acceptable by most of society.
The players are:
P.J. Stock of the Boston Bruins
and
Stephen Peat of the Washington Capitals
Actually, they wear them to protect against concussions …
And yes, not requierd ?
REQUIRED
Um….why would a mouth guard protect against a concussion?
You’re confusing mouth guards and helmets.
Helmets protect against your skull being split open. Mouth guards protect against concussions by cushioning your teeth against each other – this way, the top half of your skull won’t rattle as much as a result of an impact. Flawless had the right of it.
Thanks Yuri – It stops your head from shaking around so much that your brain smacks itself on your skull. Like Yuri said, just stops external bleeding.
boston player is pj stock
It’s PJ Stock
PJ Stock of the Boston Bruins and Stephen Peat of the Washington Capitals. This fight was SOOOO brutal that ESPN had a “punch counter” when they recapped it on SportsCenter. Circa 2000.
And, VeggieTart, it was the other way around. PJ Stock sent Mr Peat to the locker room and he did not return to the game that night.
Ya, they’re so not, and nice spelling dumbass. This attempt at humor = stupid. Hockey = awesome.
My company makes a corrective mouth guard for the Patriots and some Bruins players. They were developed with Hagler and now the NHL’s workers comp is paying almost twice the normal rate to keep the players off their payroll. For the money savings alone, it should be mandated. http://www.mahercor.com
learn how to spell lol
Definitely PJ Stock for the Bruins…and he never got pummeled. Total badass.
