Gotta be careful doing that to the band… dent one of those horns and you’re going to need a surgeon to have it removed… Bandies are very protective of their equipment and unless you want to play Dixie Land every time you pass gas, you might want to stay away from the band…
I know, band members always have that crazy killer look in their eyes.
Because a decent trombone can cost upwards of $1,500 to $2,000.

LOL!!!! That is true! We get pretty attached to our instruments. Not to mention band equipment is EXPENSIVE!!!
lol yeah us bandies will shred you to pieces if you hurt our instruments! Ok, a few of us clarinets/saxes will just stab you in the eye with a reed, but those ‘bones and tubas might hurt you a bit more…
…We also name them, pretend to lose them, and run around frantically at a performance screaming “SOMEONE TOOK MY (insert instrument name here)!!!” haha yeah that’s fun.

Not having a celebration penalty for diving into a band regardless of which school it belonged to, however much the Irish pay the NCAA each year for that kind of protection and preseason rankings…

The real win for this though was what happened next – pretty much all the band members got out of the way and Tate fell flat on the ground.
Not just on the ground, JB. Flat across the bleachers. Those bandies got out of the way pretty quickly.
Unfortunately, he did still hit one girl, but she’s ok – just was sore the next day. I just made that day a bit worse for us, though…
It’s likely that GT can’t read and thought he was diving into his own band. Because I hate Notre Dame, I loved this moment, even though it came after a ND TD. Seriously, hate ‘em so much. They’re the New York Yankees and LA Lakers and Dallas Cowboys of college football. Go Sparty!
